Private Lessons

Individual Feldenkrais® Sessions, or Functional Integration®

A private session, or “Functional Integration lesson,” is customized for your individual needs. You will sit or lie, fully clothed, either on a blanket on the floor or on a low padded table with various supports such as foam rollers to maximize your comfort. I will use verbal guidance and gentle and precise hands-on manipulations to lessen any excessive muscular tonus, increase your sensory awareness, and introduce new options for movements. The lesson begins with you stating what you’d like to learn or improve. Every lesson is an improvisation that expands your awareness and coordination through touch and guided movement.

Private sessions are recommended for people dealing with injury or chronic pain, whose schedules do not accommodate group classes, or who desire a more personalized and touch-based approach to their movement education. The ideal way to begin your private study is to commit to a minimum of four lessons, taking place on a weekly or twice-weekly basis.
